History:

Walden/Sierra was established to provide general crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment and mental health support services to the citizens of St. Mary's County. Through the years we have evolved from a minimally staffed alternative service program to a large and nationally recognized agency. Yet, we have retained our original commitment to identifying under served populations, and to developing a variety of innovative and cost-effective programs which can meet their special needs.

Addictions Counselor - FT Outpatient/Jail BasedMasters degree in human services field preferred with related experience. Must be eligible for MD state drug and alcohol certification. Salary: $32-38,000.

Direct Care Worker - FT Compass Halfway House  evenings and weekends. H.S. diploma or equivalent with related experience. Salary: $10/hour

 

Human Services Worker - PT Anchor ICF -  Sun-Thurs overnights 12am-8am OR Sat/Sun 8am-4pm.  H.S. diploma or equivalent with related experience. Salary: $10/hour

 

PRN Staff – hotline and residential coverage on an as needed basis. H.S. Diploma or equivalent with human services experience preferred. Salary: $10/hour.

 

Applicants for direct service/counseling positions must be 21 or older with a
valid drivers license and personal vehicle.
