According to Kathleen O�Brien, Ph.D., Executive Director of Walden,
Sierra, �This grant will help a vulnerable population in need. Walden strives to provide the highest
quality of services to victims of domestic violence whether they need emergency
shelter or trauma counseling.
Support from businesses in the local community is vital in helping us
fulfill our mission.�
This grant is
part of ongoing efforts by Target to strengthen families and communities
throughout the country. Since opening its
doors, Target has given 5% of its income to organizations that support
education, the arts and safe families and communities. Today that translates to
$3 million every week.
