Recovery happens.  Recovery is contagious.  Recovery gets even better with time. Recovery is worth it!

In Millison Plaza in Lexington Park, in front of the Beacon of Hope Recovery Community Center, Walden will host our first ever Recovery Block Party on Sunday, September 16th from 1 to 4 p.m.  This FREE event is rain or shine.

Come out and celebrate the gifts of recovery with us-- and bring your friends and family!  The Recovery Block Party will feature music, food, family fun and crafts, wellness activities/demos, tours of Beacon, informational displays from community resources, speakers and an open mic.  Share and see why and how "Recovery is Worth it" -- this year's National Recovery Month, September 2012 theme.

Recovery t-shirts will be on sale at the event to raise funds to support treatment and recovery services in the community.

To sponsor, donate or help with this event, please e-mail or call us at 301-997-1300 x 804.  If you wish to donate on-line, please go to and select your Program Designation.
