On Sunday April 1st at 2 p.m., Walden and St. Mary's College Maryland are teaming up to host the 2nd annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes-St. Mary's.  The event is rain or shine, and is located at the Track at St. Mary's College (rain location in the adjacent Athletic Center.)

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes-St. Mary's is a free event for all members of the community, with a special focus on getting male youth and men of all ages involved.  Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a community march to prevent and end gender violence and sexual assault.  Men of all ages are asked to participated by doing laps in women's shoes (shoes provided) while women of all ages are invited out to support the men and participate in the "In Another's Shoes" and "Honoring Survivors" laps.  The event also features a "Leader's Lap" where we are hoping that leaders in our community will come out to support the event with a lap and photo opp.  Walk a Mile in Her Shoes activities also include art and games and refreshments.
