Treatment & Support

Child and Adolescent Services

Walden offers treatment services for children and adolescents for both mental health and substance use disorders.

We use Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administrative (SAMHSA) approved evidence based practices such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, 7 Challenges and Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA). We provide a comprehensive assessment to determine the best placement for the individual/family.

Therapy may take place in a group or individual setting.  Family therapy is also an option. Walden also offers a free and open to the public youth wellness clubhouse (The Cove/DFZ) for youth ages 12-17 seeking a safe, sober and fun place to be.  The Cove/DFZ offers mentoring, life skill and tutoring support, community service, and recreational activities.  For more information on The Cove, please call: 301-997-1300 x 804 or visit our Recovery and Wellness section
